Discovery Flights

Ask any pilot about their first flight and they’ll start the story with a big smile. And after your Discovery Flight, you’ll do the same as you officially start your journey to becoming a pilot.

Your Discovery Flight takes you and an FAA Certified Flight Instructor on an approximately 30-minute-long flight to familiarize you with the airplane, the airport and the sensation of flight. You won’t believe the shear magic of guiding a 2000 pound Cessna airplane gracefully through the sky with just your fingertips, thousands of feet above the earth.

From takeoff to landing you will experience the fundamentals of flight hands-on. You will be introduced to the flight instruments, throttle, yoke and rudder pedals and how to use them to control the aircraft. Under the watchful eye of your instructor you will be allowed to pilot the aircraft in turns, climbs, and descents to see how easy and intuitive flying can be.

This flight is a unique chance to step into another world where you are not confined by gravity. Sure, it's still there but you can climb away from the ground. Try that in the family car. For the cost of a dinner out with a friend or two, you can try your hand at flying. Be careful though, it's addictive!
